Hospital Management and Administration (HOSMAD):
HOSMAD- Hospital Management and Administration is a flagship service offered by EyeXperts. EyeXperts will Implement systems and improve processes across different departments and work towards achieving quantifiable results promised. This is done for the period of one to two years.
HOSMAD process
- Needs assessment visit by consultants
- Appointing a full time ‘Implementation executive’ with hospital management background and 3-4 years’ experience in eye hospital management.
- Support by Chief implementers through weekly follow-up calls and monthly visits
- Support through EyeXpert’s online platform for real time monitoring of targets.

Module Based Implementation (MBI):
In this EyeXperts will work on specific areas like setting up call centre, supply chain management, outreach process, counselling, optical and pharmacy management. If a hospital is interested to have this short time project, EyeXperts will send its expert for a period of three to six months. This consists of
- Needs assessment visit by a consultant.
- Discuss and agree specific areas for improvement.
- Assign implementation executive for agreed time frame.
- Develop protocol and train the hospital team.
- Implement effective monitoring system to ensure sustainability.
Process Improvement (PI):
Process Improvement program is a hands-off approach aimed at increasing efficiency, improving quality, increasing patient-centeredness of care and satisfaction in both clinical and non clinical areas. EyeXperts adopts the “IHI model for Improvement” which is made up of set of fundamental questions to drive improvement and Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) Cycle. The model for improvement framework has been used very successfully by hundreds of health care organizations in many countries. EyeXperts will train the hospital team on model for improvement and change ideas to improve process and systems. They in turn will implement and will be supported by EyeXperts implementation executive through quarterly visits.
Setting up sustainable Optical & Pharmacy:
Un corrected refractive errors are the most common cause of visual impairment and second major cause of avoidable blindness in India. According to estimates in India 19.7% of blindness is caused due to refractive error. EyeXperts through revenue sharing model will set up its optical house and pharmacy shop at the interested partner location and provide high quality spectacles and medicines.
Setting up primary eye care centre:
Primary care is the back bone of any health systems. Primary care plays a major role in providing preventive care and in early diagnosis of disease. EyeXperts provides support in setting up state of the art primary eye care centres. These primary eye care centres will be equipped to provide comprehensive eye examination and will be connected to base hospital through telemedicine network.
Training and development:
Training division of EyeXperts provide training in the areas of administration, support services like counselling, project management, ward management, housekeeping, accounting systems and Information technology for hospitals. Training programs are aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of existing healthcare workers who otherwise do not have a dedicated institute.
